Botany for Herbalists (and all plant enthusiasts!)

Join Haley Neddermann for an afternoon for an introduction to botanical terms and identification! Together, we will learn about the parts of a flower, how to use basic botany to improve plant identification skills, and discuss the common characteristics of medicinal plant families. We will also go on a short walk to do some winter tree and shrub ID. This workshop is open to anyone interested in learning basic botany, and is wonderful for herbalists interested in improving their plant ID skills.

Haley Neddermann is a staff herbalist at Twin Star, and a flower essence practitioner with a love of plant spirit healing. Her educational background includes natural history and botany, before taking many of Twin Star’s herbal training courses. Haley is most at home in the fields and forests of the Northeast, and loves sharing her passion for the natural world with others.
