The story of Our Community Apothecary…

In December of 2022, we officially closed the doors to our beloved brick and motor Apothecary storefront, after seven years of love and dedication in serving our community in downtown New Milford CT. Our brick and motor store was past down to a former Twin Star student and operates under Balm’s Apothecary. Twin Star may no longer run our beloved brick and mortar store, but not to worry, we will continue to make many of the seasonal products that our tribe has come to rely upon. We cannot thank you enough for the opportunity to continue to serve up our magical herbal teas, tincture and tonics! We are deeply thankful for all of your love and support. Email with us with any questions, special orders or requests at twinstarapothecary@gmail.com or give us a call by phone at (828) 707-7213.

For many years Twin Star Apothecary has offered our community a variety of our handcrafted herbal products. We take pride in specializing in organic, local and ethically wildcrafted handmade tinctures, custom crafted teas, tonics and topical preparations.  Throughout the seasons we joyfully craft a variety of smudge and sacred smokes, botanical ritual offerings and herbal remedies inspired by the Green Witch and made by our apothecary faeries. When available, our products can be found on our ONLINE SHOPPE.

MARISSA LUCIA

Marisa’s herbal journey all started when she attended a Twin Star Flower Essence workshop & was guided to meditate with an Allium Flower. What she experienced was indescribable & from that moment a budding herbalist took seed. In 2019, a few months after, Marisa began to pursue her own herbal studies through Twin Star with the Art of Flower Essences.Since childhood, nature has always been Marisa’s sweet, sweet solace. Her earliest & fondest memories were growing up in her grandparent’s garden & endlessly exploring the woodland area beyond their house. It was in the moment she discovered that not only do plants bring harmony to a stressful day, but medicine to heal and assist the mind, body, & soul, that her whole life & connection to nature changed. Upon her deep dive into herbal studies she has completed the Flower Essence Practitioner Training, Foundations of Herbalism, Level 2 Practices & Protocols, & Level 3 Wildcrafted Apothecary. Since her start in herbalism she went onto assisting as a community herbalist at Chamomile Natural Foods in her hometown, working & learning under talented Nutritionists. Prior to her herbal studies Marisa dabbled in the realm of Metaphysics as a Reiki Master & self taught Astrologer. From this journey Marisa aspires to blossom into an entrepreneur in the Holistic Health & Beauty field. She is beyond excited to begin her apprenticeship with Twin Star to plunge even deeper into the beauty, love, & healing that lives amongst the plants.
