Plant Wisdom Wednesday: Forest Medicine
with Community Herbalist Haley Neddermann
Wednesday May 13th, 6:30-8:30PM
There are many wonderful plants that inhabit the forest floor in the Northeast - trillium, lady's slipper, ghost pipe, partridge berry, goldthread, wintergreen and others. Many are not used in modern herbal medicine due to concerns about over-harvesting or because they've been overshadowed by other herbs with similar properties. These plants still have much to teach us, and embody a powerful connection to our landscape.
Join Haley Neddermann in exploring the history, ecology, botany, and medicinal and plant spirit healing properties of some woodland medicinal species found in our area.
As an Herbalist & Flower Essence Practitioner, Haley hopes to inspire people to connect with the plants that grow around them, and empower them to incorporate those plants into their everyday life. What draws Haley in the most when studying herbal medicine, is learning about the ways plants help us heal on an emotional and spiritual level. As an Herbalist & Flower Essence Practitioner, Haley hopes to inspire people to connect with the plants that grow around them, and empower them to incorporate those plants into their everyday life.
