Plant Wisdom Wednesday: A Feng Shui Garden with Medicinal Plants with Rose Garbien

Learn to design a medicinal garden using an ancient Feng Shui Bagua Map. The practice of Feng Shui goes back about 4,000 years. It is about the energy, the chi, in our enviroment, what is closest to us has the most effect on us. The map, or Bagua, has 9 different areas of our lives. Each one is associated with a color,  shape, body part and family member, just to name a few. Students will learn which areas of the Bagua which are associated with the different body parts and which plants work best in each area. No previous gardening experience is necessary. Students will receive a Lavender plant to take home with the intention that it will be prosperous and bring them the much wealth!

Rose Garbien used to think Feng Shui was just moving furniture around, but in 2017 she was introduced to BTB Feng Shui and was hooked!  Rose is a certified Feng Shui consultant with Karen Rauch Carter, Inspired Feng Shui. She has studied the IChing with Barry Gordan, and is also certified with Laura Morris and Anjie Cho of the Mindful Design BTB Feng Shui School. In 1997 she studied with Gail Ulrich of Blazing Star Herbal School, Shelburn Falls Ma., Medicinal Herbalism, Intensive Program. She resides in Roxbury, CT with her husband of 33 years and son.
