Live Online Class

Our ancestors used plants as a tool for survival. Today plants continue to be a center point of sustaining life on earth. In this workshop we will learn about certain herbs and flower essences used to connect with our ancestors and gain a better understanding of their own paths. We will build ancestral altars and engage in medicine making.

Arvolyn grew up in the small rural town of Kent, Connecticut on Schaghticoke land. She was raised with a never-ending curiosity about plants and the natural world. Arvolyn became passionate about Herbalism after several members of her family passed away due to illness developed after living among environmental pollution. Arvolyn enrolled at Twin Star Connecticut's School of Herbalism and Energetic Studies. In 2016 Arvolyn opened an online apothecary in 2016 called Gold Feather where she sells herbal tinctures, pressed flower phone cases and sustainable reusable cloth face masks. Arvolyn is passionate about reclaiming herbalism for BIPOC communities and using herbalism for ancestral connections. Arvolyn also works as the Coordinator of Family Programs at Everett's Children’s Adventure Garden at the New York Botanical Gardens where she creates Nature and Science exploration activities for kids. 

Join us for the Plant Wisdom Wednesday Series here at Twin Star, a monthly community herbal herbal class. Learn from a variety of teachers in the Twin Star Community and explore and learn about new plants or herbal healing subjects each month and gain a better understanding of how to incorporate their healing remedies into your life. This class will be held online in our Virtual Class Room via Zoom. You will need to have zoom downloaded to your computer (preferred) or smartphone, and will receive a link and invitation within a couple of hours of our 6:30pm EDT start time. Follow up recording available will be sent out to participants the next day.
